Au Clair de la Lune

Au Clair de la Lune is a beloved French folk tune that children have been singing for hundreds of years! Print out the sheet music and “Three Steps” practice sheet, watch the instructional video, then try it out on your piano.

Remember to start slowly and be patient with yourself. Learning a new song can feel tricky at first, but with steady practice it will become much easier. Each time you play, fill in one of the boxes at the bottom of the sheet music page — by the time they’re all filled in, this song will feel comfortable and familiar.

Most of all, have fun, and don’t forget to share your music with family and friends once you’ve mastered it!

Fur Elise

Beethoven wrote this song for a mystery woman in his life named "Elise." We may not know who Elise is, but we have been enjoying her song for many, many years!

Three Blind Mice

Three Blind Mice is another popular folk song that we've been singing for hundreds of years; it originated back in England in the early 1600's!

There are no 8th notes in this song, however you do get more practice playing sharps. Be sure and count those dotted half notes and half notes- this song sounds so much better when your rhythm is correct! Print out the sheet music and "Three Steps" practice sheet, watch the video, and head over to your piano to give it a try.

Have fun, and be sure and play it for family and friends once you've filled in all of the boxes at the bottom of the page.

Pop! Goes the Weasel

The best part of "Pop! Goes the Weasel" is the POP, of course. You'll be doing something fancy for this- crossing your left hand over the right to play a short (staccato) A. Don't worry about that now though, I'll break it down in the video for you. Print out the sheet music and the "Three steps" practice sheet, watch the video, then head over to your piano to give it a try.

Once you get it down and all of the boxes are filled in, try singing it while you play. Have fun!
